5.1-magnitude earthquake hits northeastern Japan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 struck northeastern Japan.

Axar.az reports that the country's National Meteorological Administration reported this.

According to the information, the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Iwate Prefecture, at a depth of 60 kilometers. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

A tsunami warning was issued after the tremors, but the warning was canceled a few minutes later.
