Hamas has agreed to hand over control of the Gaza Strip to a newly formed technocratic administration.
Axar.az reports that Mahmoud al-Habasha, an adviser to the head of the Palestinian National Authority, said the move.
The new 15-member administration will govern Gaza under a plan agreed to by US President Donald Trump last year.
The administration's main task is to address humanitarian issues, provide essential services to the population, and prevent the displacement of the Palestinian population. Military and foreign policy issues will not be part of the administration's powers.
