Putin speaks with Iranian President Pezehskian

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, with details of the conversation to be disclosed later, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

Axar.az reports “During the first half of the day, the president largely focused on the situation around Iran. Earlier today, a phone conversation took place with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and we issued a relevant statement. In the very near future, we will also inform you about the results of the phone call with Iranian President Pezeshkian,” Peskov said.

According to the Kremlin spokesperson, the situation around Iran and across the Middle East is “extremely tense.” He stressed that the president continues efforts aimed at promoting de-escalation.
