Chinese President Xi Jinping has asked US leader Donald Trump not to call the coronavirus the "Chinese virus".

Axar.az reports that the White House chief said this during his speech at the Davos Economic Forum.

"I used to call the coronavirus the 'Chinese virus', but Xi Jinping said, 'Can we use another name?" So I changed the phrase. Why should we make a problem of this?" - Trump said.

During his speech, the US leader said that he has good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

Trump called the Chinese leader "an incredible person" and admitted that the achievements of his country are "amazing".
