Armenia invites Azerbaijan to COP17 in Yerevan

Armenia is ready to receive the Azerbaijani delegation at COP17; an official invitation will be sent soon.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Environment Minister Ambartsum Matevosyan said this.

The minister noted that Armenia hopes for the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which is scheduled to be held in Yerevan on October 18-30, 2026:

"We are ready to receive the Azerbaijani delegation. Notifications on the holding of the 17th Summit of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity have already been sent to all 196 member states of the organization, and official invitations will be sent soon. All member states have been informed about the dates of the event. I think that a large number of high-ranking officials and ministers will attend. It is too early to talk about which countries will confirm this."
