Azerbaijani died fighting for Russia in Ukraine war

An ethnic Azerbaijani has died while fighting for Russia in the Ukraine war.

Axar.az informs Ramin Mammadov, a 1985-born Russian citizen originally from Ganja, was reportedly killed in combat about two months ago.

His body was returned to Ganja last night, and he is set to be buried there today.

Reports indicate that he was forcibly taken from his workplace to join the fighting. He was single and had lived in Russia since childhood.
