Trump says Iran talks could resume within two days

United States and Iran may resume negotiations within the next two days, according to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, that Donald Trump said, “Something could be happening over the next two days,” suggesting a possible return to talks between the two sides after earlier discussions ended without agreement in Islamabad on April 11.

He added that the United States was more inclined to hold discussions in Pakistan, stating: “We’re more inclined to go there,” and referenced the role of Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir, describing him as “doing a great job” and “fantastic.”

Trump also noted that Geneva had been floated as another possible venue but downplayed it, saying: “Why should we go to some country that has nothing to do with it?”

Rеports also suggest that another round of talks could take place on April 16, while Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that further negotiations between Iran and United States are expected in the near future.
