Ukraine strikes Russia’s Metafrax chemicals plant

Ukrainian defense forces have launched a drone attack on the Metafrax Chemicals chemical plant in the Perm region of Russia. The plant is located more than 1,600 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Axar.az reports, citing RBK-Ukraine.

It was reported that the attack was coordinated by the USQ's Alpha Special Operations Center.

At least six explosions were recorded during the attack. Workers were evacuated. According to preliminary information, the strike hit the methanol production unit.

It is noted that Metafrax Chemicals is one of the largest methanol producers in Russia and Europe.
