Russian drone enters Romanian airspace

On the night of April 17, during a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, one of the drones violated Romanian airspace.

Axar.az informs, citing Romania’s Ministry of Defence, that radar systems detected the drone, after which contact with it was lost southeast of the village of Chilia Veche near the border.

It is noted that Romania shares a 650-kilometre land border with Ukraine. Since the start of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, there have been multiple incidents of Russian drones entering Romanian airspace and debris falling on Romanian territory.
