Turkiye set to boost air power by 2030

Turkiye is expected to significantly boost its air power by 2030 through its modernized F-16 fleet, the procurement of “Tayfun” systems, the KAAN project, and a strong defense industry infrastructure.

Axar.az reports, citing Greek media, that Ankara will maintain numerical superiority over Athens and become one of the most advanced air forces in the region.

The analysis highlights the “Tayfun” fighter jets that Turkiye plans to acquire, noting that these AESA radar-equipped platforms are considered among Europe’s most advanced combat aircraft and will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the Turkish Air Force.

It is also noted that the national fighter jet “KAAN” is expected to enter service by 2030, forming a key part of Turkiye’s long-term air power vision.
