China calls for ceasefire and diplomacy amid Iran conflict

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized Beijing’s role in promoting global peace amid rising instability and the conflict in Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing China's MFA website, Yi warned that the war could have destructive consequences for the world order and stressed that it “should never have happened and will benefit no one.”

Wang Yi urged all parties to return to the negotiating table and resolve their differences through equal and constructive dialogue.

Outlining China’s principles, Wang Yi highlighted the importance of respecting national sovereignty, avoiding the misuse of force, non-interference in internal affairs, and resolving conflicts through political dialogue.

He also called on major powers to act constructively and uphold justice.

Wang Yi stated that China is committed to working with Middle Eastern countries to implement global security initiatives, restore regional order, ensure stability for the people, and promote peace worldwide.
