Germany temporarily pulls embassy staff out of Iraq

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Germany has temporarily withdrawn staff from its embassy in Baghdad and relocated them abroad.

Axar.az reports Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said that following a phone call with his U.S. counterpart Marco Rubio, he expressed his gratitude for U.S. support in evacuating the German embassy staff.

The German Foreign Ministry confirmed that the embassy in Iraq remains accessible.
