Shahbaz Sharif holds call with Iranian President

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az informs in a post on X, Sharif condemned the continued Israeli strikes on Iran, including recent attacks on civilian infrastructure, and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Iranian people.

The Pakistani leader thanked Pezeshkian for acknowledging Islamabad’s efforts to promote peace and dialogue in the region.

He added that Pakistan is continuing its diplomatic outreach, engaging the United States as well as Gulf and other Islamic countries, to support de-escalation and facilitate dialogue.
