Dmitriev: EU and UK will beg Russia for energy

European Union countries and the United Kingdom will beg Russia for oil and gas supplies, Russia’s presidential special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, stated.

Axar.az informs that “Russia will undoubtedly receive many requests from Europe and the UK for Russian energy resources and will decide whether to supply them or not,” he added.

Dmitriev said that, due to the conflict in the Middle East and the resulting turbulence in global energy markets, oil prices could quickly climb to $150–$200 per barrel.
