UAE air defenses thwart 6 ballistic missiles and 9 UAVs

The United Arab Emirates’ air defense systems intercepted six ballistic missiles and nine unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran on March 27, 2026, authorities said.

Axar.az reports, citing Gulf News, since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, the UAE has successfully intercepted 378 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,835 UAVs.

The strikes have resulted in fatalities, including two members of the UAE Armed Forces on duty and a Moroccan civilian working with the military. Additionally, eight foreign nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India were killed in the attacks.
