NATO intercepts Iranian missile entering Turkish airspace

A ballistic missile launched from Iran and entering Turkish airspace was intercepted and neutralized by NATO air and missile defense systems stationed in the eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu, in a written statement, the ministry said, “All necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation against any threats directed at our territory and airspace."

The statements added: "developments in the region are being closely monitored with national security as a priority.”

It should be noted that Iran had previously launched missiles toward Turkiye on March 4, 9, and 13.
