Zelensky calls Iran ‘accomplice of Russia’

“We went through difficult relations with Iran. We did nothing to them. They shot down our plane, killing our passengers and crew, didn’t admit it, and refused to let experts in,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Axar.az reports that in an interview with the BBC, he added that when the full-scale war began, Iran supplied Shahed drones to Russia, which were used against Ukrainian civilians.

“I asked them to stop. They promised there would be only one batch. They lied and continued supplying weapons. That’s why I consider them accomplices of Russia,” Zelensky said.
