Russia warns Armenia of losing air links if joins EU

If Armenia joins the EU, it will no longer have air connections with Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.

According to Overchuk, Armenian citizens should be aware of the possible consequences of Yerevan’s decision to move closer to the EU.

“This may sound harsh, but we want people in Armenia to understand that this (loss of air connections) could occur as a result of decisions made to align with the EU,” he said.
