Keir Starmer meets Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah on Wednesday.

Axar.az reports, citing the Prime Minister’s Office, that Starmer welcomed the recent ceasefire and emphasized the need to focus on maintaining it and turning it into a lasting peace.

He stressed the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz and outlined the UK’s efforts to work with international partners on practical measures to restore confidence in safe maritime transit through the vital waterway.

The Prime Minister committed to continue to support Saudi Arabia as a steadfast ally including through the recent deployment of the Sky Sabre air defence system, having met UK personnel deployed to operate it earlier today.
