Rocket strikes near Belgian delegation in Beirut

Massive rocket strikes hit areas near the Belgian delegation in Beirut, Lebanon, led by Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot.

Axar.az reports, according to Prevot X post, the rockets landed just a few hundred meters from the embassy while the Belgian delegation was present.

The incident occurred shortly after Prevot had commended Lebanese President Michel Aoun for offering to open official negotiations with Israel toward a ceasefire.

“I came to Beirut today to show our full support to the Lebanese authorities and to express our deep solidarity with the families affected by the violent conflict opposing Israel and Hezbollah. Just before, Israel launched, with no previous warning, one of the most massive strikes since the beginning of the hostilities, allegedly causing hundreds of civilian victims. We were at the embassy with my delegation, just a few hundred metres from where the missiles struck. This must stop."

He also added: "the ceasefire between the US, Israel, and Iran must include Lebanon!”
