Iran says ceasefire reflects commitment to diplomacy

“Iran’s acceptance of the ceasefire is a clear sign of responsibility and a serious determination to resolve disputes through diplomacy," President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim, he also emphasized the importance of establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon, noting that it was one of the key conditions of Iran’s proposed 10-point plan.

Pezeshkian underlined France’s role as a guarantor in previous Lebanon ceasefire efforts.

Additionally, he described the insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz as a direct result of U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran, while stressing Tehran’s continued commitment to ensuring safe maritime transit in the waterway.
