Iran arrests 6,500 people since US-Israel attacks

Iranian authorities have announced that more than 6,500 people have been arrested on charges of “treason and espionage” since the start of the war involving Israel and the United States against Iran.

Axar.az informs that the statement was made by Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan.

He said many of those detained are accused of spying.

Radan also noted that criminal cases have been opened against 567 people for allegedly cooperating with “sedition, criminals, and counter-revolutionary groups.”
