Gaza flotilla activists flown to Turkiye from Israel

Turkish Airlines (THY) is operating special charter flights today to Israel’s Ramon Airport to repatriate activists from the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla who were illegally detained by Israel.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by Turkish media.

It should be noted that the Israeli Navy intercepted vessels belonging to the Sumud flotilla, which was heading to Gaza with humanitarian aid, during an operation. Later, Security Minister Ben-Gvir shared footage showing the alleged mistreatment of the detained activists.

It should also be recalled that THY’s regular flights to Israel have been suspended since October 2023.
