Turkiye, Iran leaders discuss peace and cooperation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports that during the conversation, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations between Turkiye and Iran, as well as regional and global developments.

Erdogan stated that Turkiye continues to work alongside “brotherly countries” to ensure peace and stability in the region, and will keep providing full support for negotiations aimed at producing positive results.

He noted that ongoing conflicts in the region have cast a shadow over this week’s Eid al-Adha holiday, while expressing confidence that the Iranian people will overcome this difficult period and achieve peace and stability.

Erdogan also congratulated the Iranian President on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
