Kilicdaroglu seeks annulment of Ozel’s post

Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who returned to the chairmanship of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) by court decision, has filed a petition with the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) seeking the annulment of Ozgur Ozel’s election as CHP parliamentary group leader.

Axar.az reports that the petition was submitted to the parliament speaker’s office and is expected to be processed after the Eid holiday.

According to the three-page petition, bearing Kilicdaroglu's signature, argues that the group leadership election violated the CHP’s internal regulations and party charter.
