Iran, Oman discuss new Hormuz mechanism

Iran and Oman are negotiating a new mechanism for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing Fars News, that Ali Bagheri, deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the remarks.

Bagheri said the conditions and procedures for passage through the Strait of Hormuz would differ from those in place before the war against Iran.

He also noted that indirect contacts between Iran and the United States are continuing.

According to him, Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles are not currently on the agenda of negotiations with Washington.
