US personnel injured in Iran missile strike on Kuwait

Four U.S. service members and three contractors sustained minor injuries after an Iranian ballistic missile strike targeting a Kuwaiti air base last week.

Axar.az reports, citing CBS News, all seven personnel returned to duty within 24 hours of the incident.

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the missile was launched toward Kuwait at 10:17 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday and was intercepted by Kuwaiti forces before impact.

Kuwait also reported additional drone and missile activity the following morning.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had targeted an American base in retaliation for U.S. strikes in southern Iran, though it did not specify the location.

The United States said its earlier actions were defensive in nature.
