Hungary seeks more diverse energy supplies

Hungary states its intent to diversify energy-supply sources as much as possible.

Axar.az informs that Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar made the statement after meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.

He noted that energy sources and energy independence were among the topics discussed during the meeting with Merz, adding that Hungary’s approach is primarily driven by energy security, supply security and pricing considerations.

“We talked about energy sources, about energy independence. I again stressed to the Federal Chancellor that the new Hungarian government will do everything to obtain energy from as many different sources as possible – whether gas or oil” he said.
