Iran sees agreement with the US as an opportunity for regional cooperation and stability.
Axar.az reports, citing ISNA, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a phone conversation with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Pezeshkian thanked Qatar for its constructive role in reducing tensions and facilitating diplomatic efforts that led to the agreement to end the war.
He said the development represents an opportunity to expand regional cooperation, strengthen unity among Islamic countries, and establish lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Iranian president also emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity among regional countries, noting that mutual support among Islamic states could contribute to security, stability, and sustainable development.
The sides stressed the development of strategic relations between Tehran and Doha and the need for all parties to fulfill their commitments under the agreement.
Qatar’s Emir expressed satisfaction with the agreement and highlighted the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in reducing tensions and strengthening regional stability. He said the current situation provides an opportunity to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
