Kremlin says Russia ready for talks with Europe

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia is ready for dialogue with Europe.

Axar.az reports that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks.

“The president has repeatedly said that we are ready for negotiations. We were not the initiators of scaling down these contacts to zero,” Peskov said.

He added that Russia did not initiate the suspension of contacts with Europe and remains open to dialogue if European countries are willing to engage without ultimatums or attempts to speak from a position of strength.
