Vance: US reviewing F-35 transfer to Turkiye

The United States is reviewing whether Turkiye meets the legal requirements necessary to receive F-35 fighter jets.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, that US Vice President J.D. Vance said Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and his team are currently assessing the issue to determine whether all conditions under U.S. law have been satisfied.

“Pete and the entire team are reviewing this right now, because there are certain things that we have to certify have happened in order to comply with American law,” Vance said.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that Turkiye could potentially receive the fighter jets.
