Venezuela open to dialogue with US

Venezuela is prepared to resolve its differences with the United States through diplomacy and cooperation.

Axar.az reports, citing foreign media, that acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez made the remarks during celebrations marking the 205th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, the decisive victory that secured Venezuela's independence from Spanish colonial rule.

“Since that fateful day on January 3, 2026, we have consistently said: let us address our differences, as well as our historical and current disputes, through diplomacy, political dialogue, and cooperation with the United States,” Rodriguez said.

She added that a policy of peaceful diplomacy is gaining momentum in Venezuela's foreign relations.

Rodriguez stressed that Venezuela remains committed to defending its independence and sovereignty and called on the Venezuelan people to stand united.

It should be noted that Rodriguez has been serving as acting president since January 3, after U.S. authorities captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
