Trump calls for $350 billion defense package

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Congress to approve a $350 billion defense package and pass the Save America Act, arguing that the measures are essential to maintaining U.S. military strength.

Axar.az reports that Trump made the remarks in a post on Truth Social.

“The United States Military has never been stronger, or more powerful. No other nation can do what we do,” Trump said, adding that military morale is at a record high and that this year has seen historic recruitment levels.

Trump urged House and Senate leaders to make passage of Reconciliation 3.0, which includes $350 billion for defense, their top priority once Congress returns from recess.

“We must pass Reconciliation 3.0, with $350 billion for Defense, plus the Save America Act. The Save America Act, paired with the full funding of our great Department of War, can be passed very quickly, ensuring that the United States of America stays free for generations to come,” Trump noted.
