Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will represent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Leaders' Summit of the Coalition of the Willing on Ukraine, which will be held in Paris tomorrow.
Axar.az reports, citing Turkish Media, during the summit, Fidan is expected to discuss with his counterparts the possible implications for Ukraine of the decisions adopted at the NATO Ankara Summit held on July 7–8, which was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Fidan is expected to reaffirm Turkiye's support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He is also expected to share Turkiye's assessment of the latest developments on the battlefield in the Russia-Ukraine war and the current state of diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
He is also expected to stress that Turkiye remains ready to bring the Russian and Ukrainian delegations back to the negotiating table and to underline the importance of preserving peace and stability in the Black Sea. Fidan is expected to reaffirm Turkiye's readiness to support efforts aimed at achieving that goal.
In addition, the Turkish foreign minister is expected to emphasize the importance of maintaining close coordination in the process of defining the legal and political framework that will serve as the basis for future activities within the Coalition of the Willing.
