6.5-magnitude earthquake strikes Papua New Guinea

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake has struck the Lorengau region of Papua New Guinea.

Axar.az reports, citing the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), that the earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 47.8 kilometers.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries.
