Zelensky: Ukraine strikes Russian refinery, airfield

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces carried out strikes overnight on August 21 against an oil refinery in Perm and the Marinovka military airfield in Russia’s Volgograd region.

Axar.az informs that Zelensky made the remarks on his Telegram channel.

He said the refinery in Perm, located more than 1,600 kilometers from Ukraine’s border, was hit. He noted that strikes were recorded in the Black Sea.

Zelensky also reported confirmed results from previous strikes. In particular, a Russian Su-34 aircraft was damaged at the Akhtubinsk airfield, which he said is about 600 kilometers from the front line.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a facility in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, about 180 kilometers from the front line, used to store, prepare and launch attack drones that Russian forces use to strike Ukraine.
