A drone briefly entered southeastern Estonian airspace during Ukraine’s strikes on western Russia, prompting an air alert.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna shared the information.

“Early Tuesday morning, an air threat warning was issued in several regions of Estonia. Drones flying parallel to Estonia’s eastern border also entered Estonian airspace, prompting the Defense Forces to declare an air alert. NATO fighter jets conducting Baltic air policing missions took off from Ämari Air Base to respond to the situation,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

The origin of the drones has not been reported.
