US President Donald Trump has expressed his full support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s re-election, describing him as a strong leader and a key partner in the fight against Iran.

Axar.az reports that Trump made the remarks in a letter addressed to the people of Israel and published on his Truth Social account.

“Bibi Netanyahu has been a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Trump wrote.

He praised Netanyahu for remaining strong despite significant opposition, including from within Israel, saying that he had grown stronger under pressure.

Trump also warned that if Israel were led by anyone other than Netanyahu, the United States might have to take on the burden of confronting Iran itself.

“If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so,” he stated.

Concluding his message, Trump reaffirmed his support for Netanyahu’s re-election bid, writing: “Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel. BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

It should be noted that parliamentary elections in Israel will be held on October 27.
