Four rockets hit US positions in Iraq

At least four shells hit US military positions in Iraq, according to a statement released today by the Arab country's government's Security Information Cell.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that the note specifies that four Katyusha-type rockets hit the US enclave of Besmaya, which houses a contingent from the international anti-ISIS coalition (the Arabic acronym for Islamic State), led by the Pentagon.

One fell into a warehouse within the perimeter of the base, another between vehicles from the protective caravans of the facilities and the remaining two in open space.

The report reports material damage, but no fatalities at the base located about 10 kilometres from this capital.

The Iraqi authorities did not specify the origin of the attack.
