A ceasefire has been reached in Yemen

A peace agreement has been reached between the Yemeni government and the Transitional Council.

Axar.az reports that the sides agreed on a truce and a ceasefire at the request of Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh has drafted a resolution to speed up the ceasefire and sent it to the conflicting parties. Under the agreement, the rebels will abolish autonomy in southern Yemen and leave military bases in Aden.
