After the war in Karabakh, Armenia is carrying out reforms in the army, optimizing the army, switching to new weapons systems and military equipment.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Armenian Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan in an interview with RIA Novosti. He said Russia was directly involved in the process.

Harutyunyan said that the main efforts in the reform will focus on the development of the management system, intelligence, electronic warfare, air defence, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery. The Minister said that a special delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry was in Armenia on January 25-30 to assist in the reforms.
