Iran's ambassador to Turkey has been summoned to the FM

Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ferazmand has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry.

Axar.az reports that the Iranian ambassador was told that Ankara expects support from Tehran, not to oppose it in the fight against terrorism.

A day earlier, Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjidi, told the Rudav Kurdish news agency that Tehran was opposed to Turkish troops in Iraq. Mohammad Frezamand, for his part, disagreed with his Iraqi counterpart Irej Mosque's anti-Turkish statements.

He noted that Turkey's operations against the PKK, which are aimed at the stability and security of Iraq, are known to be anti-terrorist, including Baghdad.
