US strike naval base in Zibakenar on Iran's Caspian Sea

A US missile strike damaged part of an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base in Zibakenar on Iran's Caspian Sea coast on Friday morning, a provincial official said.

Axar.az reports that, citing Iran International, "At around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, part of the equipment stationed at the facility was damaged in the missile attack," Ali Bagheri, deputy governor of Gilan province for political and security affairs, told ISNA.

Bagheri said preliminary assessments showed there had been "no reports of any human casualties" so far.
