Zelensky: Six killed in Kyiv strike

Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, during the daytime.

Axar.az reports, citing UNIAN, that the Ukrainian Air Force said several high-speed targets were heading toward the capital. Explosions were heard in the city shortly afterward.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said air defense systems were operating and urged residents to remain in shelters.

According to monitoring groups, Russia launched at least 10 ballistic missiles, including Zircon missiles, toward Kyiv.

No official information on the extent of the damage or casualties was initially released.
