Armenia traded arms for Russia - USA

The United States imposed sanctions on 56-year-old Ashot Mkrtychev, a Slovak citizen of Armenian nationality.

Axar.az reports that the BBC reported on this.

Ashot Mkrtychev participated in the organization of the sale and barter of more than twenty types of weapons and ammunition between Russia and North Korea in late 2022 and early 2023.

The US Treasury Department clarified that in exchange for weapons, North Korea received various items - from passenger planes to raw materials and goods.
