Shoigu: Nuclear weapons placed in Belarus

Russia, which has placed non-strategic nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, does not transfer them to the republic. It controls it and the decision on its use rests with Moscow.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the Minister of Defense of Russia Sergei Shoigu.

Shoigu noted that in the future, additional measures can be taken to ensure the security of the Union state and respond to the military-political situation.

It should be noted that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin signed a document defining the procedure for storing Russian nuclear weapons in a special warehouse in Belarus.
