Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with US President Joe Biden within the framework of the NATO Summit held in Lithuania.

Axar.az reports that at the meeting, the President of Turkiye thanked his colleague for his congratulatory message on the election.

He said that now is the time for consultations at the level of the presidents within the framework of the strategic mechanism. In this regard, the Turkish leader, who considered the current meeting as the first step, said that a new process has been started.

"Of course, this new process is a 5-year process for me, and you also have election preparations. I wish you success in the preparation of this election," Erdogan said.

"I look forward to meeting you in the next five years," Biden said and also thanked President Erdogan for his diplomacy and leadership in Sweden.
