It was proposed to set the upper limit of the draft age at 30 years (currently it is 27 years).
According to the draft law adopted in the first reading, it was proposed to set the conscription age from 19 to 30 years in 2024, from 20 to 30 years in 2025, and from 21 to 30 years in 2026.
During the work on the bill in the second reading, the Defense Committee of the State Duma supported the amendment, according to which the lower limit of the military age remained at 18, and the upper limit remained at 30. So, from January 1, 2024, the age of conscription can be from 18 to 30 years.
