A 7-magnitude earthquake occurred on the island of North Luzon, Philippines.

Axar.az reports that the information was released by the US Geological Service (USGS).

According to preliminary information, at least 5 people died and 130 people were injured during the earthquake.

It was reported that the epicentre of the earthquake was located 13 kilometres southeast of the city of Dolores, at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The tremors were also felt in the capital city of Manila. As a result, infrastructure including houses, schools, hospitals and bridges was damaged.
