The current tension between India and Pakistan following the attack in Pahalgam is a cause for concern.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry called on the parties to exercise restraint and engage in constructive dialogue to defuse the current tensions:

"It is important to refrain from unilateral actions in such an unstable situation. In addition, we hope that an open and transparent international investigation will be conducted to resolve the current situation."

At the same time, the statement expressed confidence that the path to resolving the conflict lies in meaningful dialogue and negotiations based on the norms and principles of international law, as well as relevant United Nations resolutions:

"Recognizing the common and mutual interest in regional stability, we hope that the parties will use diplomatic channels to protect the well-being of their peoples and the wider region, for the sake of peace and cooperation."
